Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know

Can I remove reflection from a photo after taking it?

Yes. Upload the existing photo to Vismora and choose a reflection-removal preset. The tool is designed for common glare and reflection problems that were missed during shooting. Results depend on how much of the original detail is hidden.

Does it work on double-glazed windows?

It can reduce reflections sitting on the outer pane when the subject behind the glass is still visible. Double glazing often produces two overlapping reflections, so results are less predictable than with a single pane — always review the result at full size.

Can this remove window reflection from a photo?

It can reduce common reflections on flat windows and similar glass surfaces. Use the highest-quality image available and review the edges of the removed area, especially when there are multiple panes or strong interior reflections.

Does it work for aquarium photos?

It can help reduce room lights, the camera, and other reflections on aquarium glass. The best results usually come from photos where the fish or scene remains visible beneath the reflection.

Will removing glare make my photo blurry?

The tool aims to preserve visible edges and textures, but no editor can recover detail that was completely clipped to white or never captured. Always inspect the result at full size before using it for print or commercial work.

What image formats and sizes are supported?

Vismora accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP images up to 10MB for this workflow. Larger source images generally provide more visible detail for the model to analyze.

When to Use an AI Photo Reflection Remover

Reflections are often difficult to avoid once a photo has been taken. A window can mirror the room behind you, eyeglass lenses can catch a screen or a flash, and glossy packaging can pick up a bright hotspot. Vismora is useful when reshooting is impossible or when you need a quick first pass before detailed retouching. When the frames themselves should come off, the dedicated glasses remover rebuilds the eyes behind them; when the glasses stay on and only the glare on the lenses needs to clear, that is a reflection job for the presets below.

Travel and Aquarium Photos Through Glass

Airplane windows, museum cases, shop windows, and aquarium panels can reflect lights, people, or the camera. The tool can reduce these overlays when the underlying subject is still visible in the original image.

Product, Property, and Archive Photos

Glass doors, mirrors, bottles, screens, and glossy photo paper create similar problems. Removing a distracting reflection can make an image easier to inspect, but important commercial or archival images should always be reviewed by a person before publication.

Tips for Better Reflection Removal Results

  • Start with the original, highest-resolution file rather than a screenshot or compressed download.
  • Use Balanced Removal for a first pass; use a stronger preset only when the reflection is clearly the main problem.
  • If a highlight is pure white, the original texture may be permanently lost and cannot be reconstructed exactly.
  • Review faces, text, straight lines, and product edges at 100% zoom before downloading.
  • When you can reshoot, reduce reflections with a different angle, softer lighting, or a polarizing filter; editing is a fallback for photos you already have.

What the Tool Cannot Guarantee

AI reflection removal works best on ordinary, mostly flat surfaces where the subject remains partly visible. Multiple layers of glass, curved chrome, mirror selfies, severe motion blur, and completely overexposed glare are harder to separate. For those cases, use the result as a starting point and consider manual retouching.
